This is the new Code of Conduct applicable to everyone involved in hockey (and replaces the previous Respect Policies)

England Hockey have set out the standards and values that should apply at every level of hockey in their new Spirit of Hockey - Code of Conduct.

Hockey is a sport that should be enjoyed by all who participate, be it as a player, official, volunteer or spectator. By producing the Spirit of Hockey - Code of Conduct, England Hockey believes that the highest standards of integrity can be upheld at all levels of the game and can therefore ensure the sport is enjoyable for everyone. The Spirit of Hockey - Code of Conduct applies to all who are involved in hockey.

A copy of The Spirit of Hockey - Code of Conduct is attached.

It can also be found on the EH website here along with supporting materials and it has been added to the TWHC website as part of the new Spirit of Hockey section in our policy documents which can be found here.

The new Spirit of Hockey - Code of Conduct is significantly streamlined compared to the previous version and reflects England Hockey's updated values. It is designed to be more concise and aims to enhance consistency and inclusivity throughout the hockey community.

TWHC aligns to England Hockey's recommended policies and as such this new Spirit of Hockey - Code of Conduct applies to all members of TWHC and participants at any and all TWHC activities (whether at or off-field and whether players, coaches, umpires, helpers, managers, parents or spectators). Please take the time to familiarise yourself with it - it is, as EH have said, concise. The materials include a very useful one page checklist of examples of behaviours considered inappropriate in our sport.
