Juniors

Boys Training

The club has a thriving junior section – with more than 18 teams, and we have the ClubsFirst Accreditation from England Hockey which recognises the quality and depth of the club, especially at junior level. Coaching is held on Sunday mornings on the astros at Tonbridge School, and occasionally at Hawkenbury; the times and locations vary so you need to check on the training/teamsheet each week.   There are also matches and tournaments, which are played throughout the season.

Parental consent forms must be filled in before you can come to training; the parental consent form is now a part of the membership form.

Fixtures

We will be entering teams at U18, U16 and U14 for both boys and girls in Kent leagues; U12 and U10 will play in monthly triangular tournaments. Details of junior fixtures will be updated as they emerge.

Training

Training for juniors (U16 and below) is on Sunday mornings, mostly on the three Tonbridge School astros. See Juniors Training for more detail. Time vary each week and are posted on the junior teamsheet. Training will resume on 4th September for U13 and older; and on 11th September for everybody.

Stop Press

There are often changes to training and match arrangements after the teamsheet has been posted, especially when there is inclement weather. Any changes will be posted on the stop press pages.

I am always interested to hear from parents who are prepared to help, either with admin, coaching or umpiring and the club will fund training courses for umpires and coaches who are prepared to commit time to the club. It doesn't have to be a huge commitmemt. Could anybody interested please contact the Junior Coordinator
